with Shastri Kit St. John
Thursday, February 7, 6-8 p.m.
We are delighted to continue our Dharma Talk series on the first Thursday of the month. The evening includes meditation, a talk, discussion, and time for visiting. Tea and snacks will be served.
When the Buddha attained enlightenment through sitting meditation, he doubted that he could explain what he had experienced. His companions from his earlier aesthetic practices, seeing how he changed, begged him to share his experience. The Buddha then taught the Four Noble Truths: suffering as the nature of existence, how suffering arises, how suffering can be extinguished, and the “middle way” path which can be practiced to wake up. Join Kit for an engaging conversation about the Buddha’s guide to the path of awakening.
Everyone is welcome.
Suggested donation: $15-20.
