The Way of Shambhala curriculum was designed by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche based on the Shambhala Teachings of his father, Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche. The Shambhala Path emphasizes the development of genuineness, confidence, good humor, and personal human dignity.
Shambhala Training Level III, Warrior in the World, is the part of our path that draws upon our newfound strength and insight to help us negotiate the larger world of relationships, work, and life in general. Everyday choices become clearer as we learn to step out of our conditioning and open to the freshness of each new moment. We find ourselves responding creatively to even the most difficult situations as we discover a range and depth of inner capacities we never knew we had.
The weekend training invites us to bring the mindfulness and awareness of meditation practice into everyday life. Alive to our sense perceptions, we can venture into the world with a vulnerability that is fearless, gentle, and awake. The program includes meditation instruction, talks by the Director, group discussions, guided contemplative practice, and individual interviews with instructors.
